twiztidtimez News

Avoid taking anything from osgrid & bringing it here! IF you're shopping in Osgrid avoid objects with numbers in the front of name. That's the VIRUS! BEWARE people can rez objects and just change the name removing the prefix numbers and passing out to others not knowing it's infected. A corrupted object will look like this file name 932Farm House - the numbers infront means it was infected. The #s are random.

AVOID OSGRID SHOPPING!

We have finally came up with a permanent name for the Free Housing Region that's built for sailing. Personally I was liking Lighthouse Landing and decided to call the region Lighthouse Landing Estates. Now you can just search the map for light or lighthouse and it will pop right up making the Free Housing easier to find. We also enabled flying in every parcel so when people coming to look at the homes available they can fly to them. We'll turn off the fly on each parcel when they're reserved.

If you know anyone who needs free housing each home is on a 1600sq meter parcel and you get 500 prim for decorating and your water toys. Any questions about reserving or renting contact Faith Fromund inworld. You can see the parcels available but selecting Parcel Rservations in the top toolbar and teleport directly from the website and reserve from the website or inworld.

More housing and shopping is coming! IF you're a creator and want a shop to put your things in whether for sale or for free contact Faith Fromund or Omy Goodness inworld or you can reach us via the TTG Discord Server .

Hello Twiztid!

Just wanted to let you know that Hurricane Trudy did not have an impact on our servers and our Host is safe!

You can resume all building, etc. as usual.

Thank you for choosing Twiztid Timez Grid

Respectfully,

Management

Hello everyone,

This is a message from our Service Provider for our Grid and we want you to be aware also so that we set proper expectations rolling through the weekend and the first few days of next week.

As Hurricane Trudy approaches our area, we want to provide an update regarding our operations and support availability over the next several days.

We have decided to shelter in place and do not anticipate any major issues. However, we are taking precautions and preparing for possible power outages, internet disruptions, or other storm-related interruptions that could affect our office and our ability to provide technical support.

 PLEASE AVOID MAJOR GRID CHANGES

For the next several days, or until conditions return to normal, we strongly recommend that you:

Avoid major region moves or migrations.

Do not make significant changes to your grid configuration.

Postpone any non-essential maintenance or upgrades.

Avoid making changes that could require immediate technical assistance.

Our support availability may be extremely limited during this period. If something goes wrong, our host may not be able to intervene or resolve the issue until power and internet connectivity are restored.

For those of you just now building your regions I suggest you build some and then backup and repeat. Hopefully this will keep you from losing any progress. You can find the backup located in your webpanels https://panel.twiztidtimez.com/

Hopefully we won't be impacted but it's good to be prepared. If you have any questions please reach out to Faith Fromund via discord @ faith_fromund or inworld via Notecard or IM.

Thank you for choosing to live in Twiztid Timez Grid. We're so happy you're here.

Respectfully,

Good morning!

We hope everyone took the opportunity to explore Samsara and see the Walk for Peace exhibit. After much thought and careful consideration, we chose not to retain the Region it's now closed.

MarLuz is closed also.

With the removal of those two regions we will be making room for other Destinations that we hope will be equally attractive and enjoyable.

Wishing you the best in all your adventures!

A Special Announcement from Twiztid Timez Grid;

We are pleased to announce that Yana Dakota was recently back in-world on Samsara to finally complete her long-awaited exhibition dedicated to The Walk for Peace.

This meaningful exhibition follows the Buddhist monks on their journey from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C., honouring their message of peace, compassion, unity and nonviolence.

Visitors will be able to experience a carefully created exhibition featuring photographs from the journey, the different states along the route, portraits of the monks, Aloka the Peace Dog, and a beautiful Coming Home section.

The exhibition also includes streams connected to The Walk for Peace, allowing visitors to experience and follow the journey beyond the photographs displayed in the exhibition.

Yana has devoted considerable time, creativity and love to bringing this journey to life in Samsara. The exhibition is intended not simply to be viewed, but to be experienced, a peaceful journey through images, memories, moving pictures and the spirit of compassion.

The exhibition is now nearing completion, and we look forward to sharing the official opening announcement with you soon.

Assets are confirmed back online!
Fingers crossed the emergency maintenance has now been completed.

All grids should begin coming back online and working normally again. Please be patient while everything restarts, as all grid regions need to reboot at the same time. This may make things feel very slow for a while, but systems should gradually settle down.

A few things to be aware of:

Currently worn assets may have been affected by the asset outage. If you notice any problems, try changing to another outfit and then switching back.
Sometimes, if assets go down while a user is interacting with their avatar, an item can become corrupted or broken.
If this happens, try using an older copy of the item or obtaining a fresh replacement from the original source.
If you notice any regions that are still offline, please let me know so they can be checked.

Thanks for your patience while everything comes back online.

Hello Totally Twiztid Peeps,

There's maintenance going on in the grid. Please do not build anything, do not move any objects, etc. You can basically log in and watch the grass grow or enjoy real life for a while. We'll let you know when the Maintenance is complete and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please know that everything we do is to improve our Community!

Respectfully,

Twiztid Staff

Good morning Twiztid!

The migration is almost over. After 3 years we finally changed Hosts and the reason for the change is that we outgrew our existing hosts abilities. In addition he was in a time zone that wasn't working and it made reaching him and getting things done extremely difficult. Our new host has set us up for a nicer user experience and growth.

Today we have received and installed all VIP Residents (VIP = Residents paying for land) OARS. Most residents inventories have been received and installed as well. That being said we are still waiting for 12 more users inventories to come from the old Host. He said he'd provide them the 12th and as of today, I've still not received them. We will update those individuals as soon as we have a status.

Going forward, we see no need to change hosts in the future so hopefully we never have to do this again! Thank you all for your patience and cooperation while we went thru this fiasco.

Please note that we are open to hypergridders and there is NO NEED for people to make Twiztid Timez Grid Resident Accounts unless they want to buy or rent land in Twiztid Timez Grid.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Grid maintenance has been completed. You may now login.

This is where we will post all Twitid Timez Grid News and Info.

We started the migration process from the old server to the new one Wednesday, April 28th. Late that afternoon we acquired copies of every oar from the original Twiztid. The Oar downloading started yesterday aftrernoon and finally finished this morning.  Oar installs will happen between Thursday & Friday and could even possibly roll into weekend. As for inventories, our old host said he'd give us those but he's not been super reliable. So although your land will be as it was it's possible you'll have to manually rebuild your inventories or move your inventory from one avi to the new one.

The old server will remain online until May 15th, 20206 and then it will go offline permanently.

Any questions contact Faith

Thanks for being on this journey with us. I think we'll all be much happier going forward! :)
